Greetings from Vienna!

Hiiiii I'm in Vienna! My train ride was epic long and annoying. Also, the left ear bud of my headphones ist kaputt. KAPUTT. I'm am rather upset about this. They just randomly broke yesterday when I got my ipod out for my bus trip to the city. Since then I've been listening to my ipod only through my right ear, which is kind of annoying because I have the kind of music that uses different speakers for different singers, so sometimes I can only hear a faint echo of someone singing, then the next person to sing blares into my right ear. Hopefully I'll be able to find some cheap headphones here in Vienna, because music really makes a difference when you have a long train trip.

In other news, I went out drinking last night! A few of the girls that didn't have class went iceskating in Esslingen in the afternoon, and we met them for dinner at a pub. The original plan was to go to a bar afterwards, and we were gonna pick up German boys to buy our drinks for us, because at this stage of the game most of us are running out of money :P We ended up just staying in the restaurant all night and laughing. We were that really annoying rowdy bunch of people in the nice quaint little restaurant, and I really hope most of the other guests didn't speak much English, because our conversation went right down the toilet. I drank beer! One of the girls recommended one to me that was really smooth and easy to drink, and they came in massive glasses. Beer drunk is a whole different ball game to other alcohol. I don't know how to explain it. Natania brought her camera along, and I was being my usual camera whore self. Instead of putting a million photos of me up on facebook, she put a whole bunch into one photo. It looks pretty awesome, just endless photos of me pulling faces :P I might use one of them as a profile pic, since my current one is nearly three years old and many people have mentioned to me lately that it doesn't even look like me anymore.

I ended up getting home at around 11:30pm last night, because we all had classes today and a couple of people had a test. I slept incredibly well, and managed to drag myself out of bed early enough to pack for Vienna and get to school on time :D We played the most awesome Jeopardy style game in class today, and my team won! We got a packet of Ritter chocolates om nom nom. After class I raced to the Hauptbahnhof to catch my train here. I actually managed to find my hotel pretty easily. I only had the name of the train stop, and eventually found it on the map. There was a guy with a piano accordion busking on the train. I have never seen that before. Some drunk guys were dancing along. Anyway, I got to my stop and realised I had no idea what street my hotel was on. Although I haven't learnt my lesson about not winging it, I have learnt not to just pick a direction and keep walking. I walked a little one way, then back the other way, and found it :D no dramaz!

Nicola isn't here yet because she couldn't find a train that arrived tonight, so she'll get here tomorrow morning. I'm in the biggest dorm I've ever had in a hostel, it was really difficult to figure out which bed was free. I made an educated guess, but I'm worried that I'll go back upstairs and find that I've nicked someone else's bed, or they'll come in really late and make a scene :S

Right now I'm in the lobby using the internet, but there's really loud music playing and it's dark in here. This is not helping the headache that was tentatively developing during my train ride here. Tomorrow after Nicola gets here we're going to meet Sonja and she's going to drive us to Mayerling! Then touristy things in the afternoon before Tanz der Vampire with Drew Sarich! DREW SARICH *epic flail* I am so excited I fully intend to stake out the stage door and get my photo taken with him :D
