Very Exciting Things

Have I mentioned yet that I found an amazing muffin shop that sells amazing muffins for one euro each and I am completely addicted! The shop is in a really inconvenient train station halfway between uni and the city centre, but we still find excuses to somehow stop by there. Anyway, look it the amazing!

Looks like a nice muffin, hey? Epic chocolate, but a bit ordinary? NO WAY! The top of course is really yummy with chocolate bits through it, like any good muffin top should be, BUT THE MUFFIN BOTTOM IS EVEN BETTER

There is an epic blob of nutella in the bottom! NUTELLA!!! I put mine in the microwave just to melt all the chocolate and nutella just a bit and ohmygoodness I can't even tell you how awesome this muffin is *dies*

In other news, we are starting to be bombarded with Valentine's day stuff. Bus stop ads are doubly depressing now. They alternate between the IMMER SOMMER ad, which means "Always Summer" and has a picture of some beautiful tanned people on a beach *epic jealous* and an ad for Tanz der Vampire, suggesting tickets as the perfect Valentine's gift. Ok, so I generally don't like the whole commercialism of Valentines day, and the one time I received a bouquet of wilted roses I wasn't very impressed. But if someone got me awesome tickets to Tanz der Vampire for Valentines day, I would love them forever and ever! It's not very likely to happen though, the only people I know here are poor students :P Maybe I'll go out every night in the hope of snagging some rich German guy before Monday :P

Last week we watched Finding Nemo in German. It was pretty amazing, especially since we all knew the film so well and could compare the Deutsch to the English from memory. Except for some reason the German subtitles didn't match the dubs. It was a bit annoying, and really obvious. I'd love to watch the German versions of all the disney movies but it's more fun watching it with a group that understands all the little differences.

Today my film and lit class went on an excursion to Calw, a town about an hour away by chartered bus. There was some museum there of some German writer dude. It was all in German, with a little bit of English information on an audioguide. We spent more time wandering around the quaint little village and then having coffee at a little cafe than in the museum :P It took ages to get home, because we left so late the bus got stuck in rush hour traffic. It's our last excursion, since next week is the very last week. Our last classes are on Wednesday, so really there's only a week left. It's gone so quickly! Only two and a half weeks until I'm home again. I've been booking seat reservations on trains and hostels and stuff. All I have left to so is sort out how I am getting to Amsterdam to catch my flight home. I will be spending a day in Paris, but the most direct train to Amsterdam means I have to stay the night in Paris, AND pay 30 euros for a seat reservation. Seriously? What a rip off, normally seat reservations are only 4 euros. So instead I'm trying to figure out how to get from Paris to Amsterdam using only the Regional and ICE trains. I will most likely save myself the cost of a hostel, and instead spend the night on a train back through Germany, then transfer early in the morning to Amsterdam. I save at least 50 euros by turning a four hour direct train ride into an epic fourteen hour treck around the countryside :P This will be the perfect preparation for the following 26 hours in transit. Oh the life of a poor student :P

Anyway, I think it is my bedtime. Gotta be up early for school tomorrow!
